Dr. James Fetzer Jim Fetzer, a former Marine Corps officer, is McKnight Professor Emeritus on the Duluth Campus of the University of Minnesota. He has chaired or co-chaired five national conferences on JFK and has published four collections of expert studies about his death, bringing together some of the best students to ever investigate the case: Assassination Science (1998), Murder in Dealey Plaza (2000), The Great Zapruder Film Hoax (2003) –which Vincent Bugliosi, who did his best to defend “the lone gunman” theory, acknowledged as “the only exclusively scientific books published on the assassination”– and, most recently, JFK: Who, Who and Why (2017), with 15 contributors. Using multiple lines of proof–from internal features of the extant film, comparisons with other films, the authentic medical and ballistic evidence, witnesses in Dealey Plaza, those who have seen “another film” and the documented substitution that took place as the NPIC the weekend following the assassination, the evidence is simply overwhelming that the version that we have today amounts to a fabrication based upon real footage–which has been massively edited and extensively revised using the techniques of optical printing and special effects–where we now know that Zapruder did not take the film that bears his name, because no one took a film that was created in a photo lab by the CIA.
